Shelter in Place

Shelter in Place

The world has been turned upside down.  I hope that this note finds you holding on firmly to your sanity as you are spending more quality time with your family than you ever have.  To those of you who are working in health care, my deepest gratitude and continued wishes for good health are with you.   I am working hard to be thankful every day for my home and my health.

As you can imagine, my photography business is not considered essential.  As such, I have chosen not to offer "front porch project" sessions or engage in other photography work during these shelter-in-place orders.  I am working on building my technical skills and marketing so I will be ready to work when we get the all-clear.

Some of you have been kind enough to reach out and ask how you can help my business during the pandemic.  I have put together a brief list of small requests that won't cost you a dime if you are so inclined:

Help a girl out

  • Follow me on Instagram and Facebook .  Extra credit if you like and comment on my posts.  The algorithms for social media reward engagement.  The more you like and comment the better my posts will do.

  • Share my work.  When you share photos I have taken of/for you and tag my business, you are helping get the word out about my business.  The more my name is out there, the more likely others will be to hire me when they need a photographer.

  • Plan your next session with me.  Have I done your headshot?  Let's plan a family session.  Is your LinkedIn or Facebook profile photo a little stale?  Let's get together and get you a new headshot.  Do you have a party or event in the works.  I'd love to capture it for you.  Reach out to me at lisaphelanphotography@gmail.com.

Thank you all for your continued support!  I can't wait to see you in person.

Warmest,

Lisa
