It’s time for tea.

This is a fun one! I had the honor of creating images for my client’s feature in Tea Time magazine.

Tea Time Magazine

Elizabeth Escobedo is a tea sommelier. Did you know that is a thing?! Just like wine sommeliers, they receive extensive training in tea history, varieties, processing methods and pairing with food. She says, “My desire to become a life-long learner of tea evolved through my travels and living in southern France while studying history and intercultural relations. I was struck with how universal the ceremony of tea drinking was and how much we could learn about each other through its unique customs.” Elizabeth is available to teach your organization about tea or you can enroll in her course through the UK Tea Academy.

Elizabeth’s article for Tea Time magazine showcases the breathtaking charm of her extensive rose garden, a true labor of love cultivated over many years. Her lush collection of roses, in an array of hues and fragrances, took center stage not only as a visual focus but as a key ingredient in the recipes featured in the piece. These culinary creations highlighted the versatility of roses in the kitchen.

Elizabeth infused her roses into artisanal salts, delicate sugars, and creamy butters, adding an elegant and aromatic twist to each. She often steeps the petals with her favorite teas, creating a soothing and floral infusion that’s perfect for a quiet moment of indulgence. Occasionally, she brews the roses alone, crafting a truly unique and fragrant tea experience that reflects the distinct essence of her garden.
